From the bowels of the early Soldat community spawned a clan called the "Wai Wai Jockey Gate-In." A Greek man by the alias of n2j3 felt it necessary some time in 2003 to create a clan based off of a hip horse-racing game. Little did he know that the tag he had given this clan, |2Wai|, would grow to become one of the most well known tags in Soldat history. Not only that, but through it's life, |2Wai| would be the home to many "legendary" bitches like those by the names of blan, SBaL, iL'nADJ and many more.
I don't know much about |2Wai| before I had joined, but I believe it was quick to get on its feet. At most, it took |2Wai| a couple weeks to have a handful of members. As quick as it was that |2Wai| was recruiting, the clan still had a brief identity crisis. As it were, the |2Wai| tag had it's place before each member's name. This lead to some minor confusion between |2Wai| and another clan by the name of zwei. n2j3 felt it necessary to prevent any problems, and from then on the |2Wai| tag was to be found after the member's names.
|2Wai| would find it's place initially in the competitive scene of Soldat. |2Wai| had been a formidable opponent for many clans, choosing to declare sv|, another skilled clan, as it's rival. As SCTFL leagues progressed, |2Wai| continued to prove itself a force to be reckoned with. The clan took a disappointing second place in the pioneer season of SCTFL, but came back to take a strong first place in SCTFL2 thanks to the excellent effort put forth by Ok and Bug's Revenge. In SCTFL season 3, |2Wai| made finals, but fell short for another second place finish.
There isn't much to say about the first SCTFL season. |2Wai| made a great showing, but sv| had the tactics to win the finals match.
SCTFL 2 was an interesting season. |2Wai| had just recruited a set of new members, Ok, Puppeter, and Bug's Revenge, due to a recent inactivity strike. Many of the members were inactive, but Ok and the bunch felt it their duty to take the clan through the season. Ok and his two other Jockeys fought their way all the way through the finals to take the championship. Everything went pretty much without a snag.
The SCTFL 3 season in particular was a very rough season for |2Wai|. The clan started the season with high aspirations, but mid-season the clan was hit with massive inactivity. On the verge of death, Ok, Pup and Bug's came to save the day once again and brought the clan from inevitable death to the SCTFL 3 finals. In a very disappointing upset, |2Wai| lost to MD, who had not won against |2Wai| all season. Although the clan's name would not have been there had it not been for the help of Ok, Bug's, and Pup plus a few other special members.
Ok and the bunch later went on to form a more active clan called TgW.
Although |2Wai|'s performance in the SCTFL season is the most well remembered, the clan also made appearances in other leagues during it's "inactive" periods. |2Wai|'s participation in competitive Soldat slowly deteriorated as the Soldat community changed. Some members insist that, at fault, were the changes being made to Soldat itself, and others insist it was the generally accepted tactics which were becoming less and less accepted by the |2Wai| team.
|2Wai|'s competitive side may not have been so dynamic as its dealings with members and the like, though. In a futile attempt to bring permanent activity to the clan, the leaders made some ill-advised recruiting decisions with the occasional good choice. The clan couldn't seem to decide on what it wanted, and had broken many hearts which the leaders apologize sincerely for. Through it's history, |2Wai| had recruited a lot of members, and had lost many, but those who are true Jockeys had always returned.
|2Wai|, today, is a self-declared community. They'll play the occasional match, however traumatizing it may be, and will forever continue to represent the name n2j3 had given it. To me, TheLinK, the Wai Wai Jockey Gate-In! will be my Soldat home. The people around me are like family, and I will not leave them again until n2j3 declared the clan dead himself. And even though |2Wai| may not be as skilled and dominative as it had once been, the name will live on.
Thanks to all the |2Wai| members, past and present, for the great experience. These names especially deserve mention: Mariachi, Uzzi, blan, SBaL, Ok, iL'nADJ, and ofcourse our founder, n2j3 who is currently serving in the military. This clan's will never ceases to amaze me. Times, no matter however thick or thin, cannot bring us down. We are the Wai Wai Jockey Gate-In.
