Anna Zajaczkowski

Anna Zajaczkowski is a hobbyist programmer from Ontario, Canada. She is elder sister to another member of the Soldat community, Michal Zajaczkowski (not to be confused with Michal Marcinkowski, the creator of Soldat).

[edit] Soldat PolyWorks
Anna is easily most well-known for producing the most complex Soldat map editor available, Soldat PolyWorks. The idea of producing a third-party map editor was brought to her by younger brother Michal, who, since the release of the mapmaker source code, wished to see a program designed from the ground up which provided increased usability (inspired by Photoshop) over the official Soldat mapmaker and its popular clone, Mapmaker Plus. Anna went ahead with the project, being introduced to Soldat along the way, and after a handful of mouth-watering previews, PolyWorks was released to the community, instantly becoming a hit with map designers both old and new for its increasingly useful features such as invisible polygons, snap-to vertex and -grid functions, savable colour palettes, and especially texture editing tools that, through Anna's examples, spawned a new generation of eyecandy multi-texture maps. Since its release, Soldat PolyWorks has all but taken over as the main map editor to use and is on Soldat's official website, even critically acclaimed by the big man himself during a Soldat Radio interview.
[edit] Gostek Viewer
The Gostek Viewer is Anna's second publicly released Soldat program, after PolyWorks. A smaller, simpler program than PolyWorks, the Gostek Viewer is, appropriately, designed to view your .ini files and see/edit how the Soldat gosteks look in-game, without having to change colours and play a game to see how your soldier looks. It also is infinitely handy in quickly previewing new animations of gosteks for heavy-duty modders tweaking such files.

Anna has other talents apart from programming for the Soldat community, and in particular is quite skilled at drawing and digital colouring.
