The Soldat Forums are the official forums of Soldat. They used to be down frequently because they used a combination of Windows, ASP, and an extremely bad hosting company. This changed when they moved to a new host under FliesLikeABrick's U13. The Soldat Forums are very active with topics on just about every subject.

History

The forums were originally founded by Styx in the beginnings of Soldat on the webspace of Styx's gaming company, DNAgames, which also hosted several dedicated Soldat servers. However, after several years, the company stopped its gaming activities and after a while the forums were moved to a host paid by Michal Marcinkowski himself, where he and Amblin (b00sta) became the new administrators.

As of 18 January 2006 Chakra became (head) admin.

The latest head admin is FliesLikeABrick, and has also become the new host of the forums (previously codenamed Operation Bum Weasel). It is much faster and more reliable than the old ASP rubbish and Windows host daWsi.us. The new forum is based off of the Simple Machines Forum (SMF) type and runs on GNU/Linux, using PHP and MySQL, which is probably the best combination of code possible. The forums were themed by Elephanthunter, with icons/buttons/graphics designed by Evil-Ville and Stalky, and are hosted on one of FliesLikeABrick's Chicago servers, as used by his U13 servers.

Miscellaneous

The old Soldat Forums' BashPit was removed, to some members' dismay.
Michal visits the Soldat forums rarely and the Polish forums never. He claims he has no time for them, although he responds to private messages on the English forums within a week or so, probably due to automated e-mails notifying him of them.
