Trained Assassins (or TA) have once been one of the few realistic and survival clans around. They were known for their elite skills and an obliging code of behaviour. This was the first incarnation of the clan, which went inactive on the 20th November 2005. Sometime later, Slazenger - one of rank and file of the first incarnation - stepped up to take over the clan and reactivated it, in a bid to immortalize the name of the clan.

[edit] The Original -:TA:-

Trained Assassins was first created by Sam on the 10th November, 2005.

-:TA:- Was the first clan to promote Realistic Survival servers and was one of the first clans to start clan wars using R/S rules. Sam, along with Alwex and Flying Dutchman promoted the R/S game through out the Soldat community and hosted various servers throughout the day to recruit and promote at the same time.

After Doffeh left Trained Assassins, it went downhill, with less people being active and many other people leaving. Sam recruited more players to fill these spaces, but never got it back up to the standard it was. Trained Assassins died 1 year after creation but was revived by Slazenger. Many people didn't warm to him so left and joined other clans, one of which was Real Soldat.

[edit] Achievements

Trained Assassins never entered any tournaments under Sam's leadership. But they did have many R/S clan wars, in which they won all but one (8-1).

[edit] Reactivated TA

Lead by Slazenger and co-lead by various people, but mainly PuNiSh3r CoRt3X and Hellthorne, the reactivated TA was quite active. One thing worth of note was the heavy rotation in the clan rooster - Slaz had a policy of frequent recruitment and frequent dismissing of members who have "failed". The reasons for "failure" were often quite varied: a lost match, insufficient skills, being voted out (Big Brother TV show style). For many outside TA it has been a mystery how exactly did the people put up with that, but members upon being asked claimed that "the atmosphere was friendly and they liked it". It was further emphasised on the website and in various recruitation posts (such as on Soldatforums) that the clan offers a friendly atmosphere. However, one Soldat Forums recruitment post noted that people should not be discouraged if they are being shouted at during the match, because this is the way things are and no one should take it seriously. The clan participated in various tournaments and leagues.

After Slaz has been banned from the remainder of SRL1, the clan managed to reach the 4th place, things began to fall apart. Some temporary members (like Nodi) left, other regulars left as well. Finally, Slaz declared that he had enough of running a clan, devoted himself to designing websites out of free templates and writing poetry. With the head of the clan gone, the rest crumbled quickly, creating a pool of experienced clanless players.

[edit] Controvesy

There have been a number of incidents connected with the reactivated TA and Slazenger was usually the one most involved in them.

  • During SRL0 and 1, there was a necessity to re-match certain games, as for various reasons they were nullified.
  • During SRL1, Slazenger was banned from the rest of the league after an incident when he multiclanned and joined WG as Unity. Additionally, there was the case of a major net breakdown during a match against USB. The match was decreed to be rematched with the same squads, but it actually never happened - due to the fault of both clans.

[edit] Honourable Members

This is more or less the last rooster of 2nd TA, before the clan died.
