Uber Sexy Beasts was originally founded as a Polish real-mode Soldat clan founded by Beteau with a little help from BloodThirsty. The clan originated on 1.02.2006. Afer an initial period when the clan could take on and defeat (theoretically) stronger opponents - example being their first match against DN - something changed and there was a series of defeats. The clan was also notable for its sudden growth in its early days, when it numbered up to thirteen people. Later, the numbers dwindled with some members leaving and some going inactive. The clan participated in the SRL test season (aka SRL 0), where it managed to get to the quarterfinals, but was utterly defeated by CF. It's participation in SRL 1 again swelled up the ranks, with some notable additions to the rooster. However, victory was not to be theirs. They were defeated in the quarter-finals by the even more evUl TA, in a match that in ATD's words was: "The worst one I ever played in." True.

Currently, that evUl of an ATD is making everything to destroy the reputation of the clan, but he still gives candy if you ask nicely. And they insist on playing only FCWs these days. It has gone as far as other clans counting their FCWs with USB as normal clan wars. In an IRC conversation, Madchal suggested that it was all ATD's fault. ATD declined to accept responsibility.

On the 26th October 2006, there was a coup and the clan was declared a Pole-only affair and the ranks of the clan included some of the stronger players of Polish normal mode scene. This allowed the clan to secure a good 4th place in the freeplay stage of SRL2 and to go, for the first time, past the quarter-finals stage. In semi-finals they met their long-time nemesis, the DN and were eliminated from the playoffs.

Somewhere from early Spring 2007 to early days of January 2008 saw the clan dead - or at least in a hiatus. This was due to ATD's disappearance from Soldat. The addiction was, however, too strong and he came back. With a vengeance.

Vengance, however, is a dish best served cold, stone cold. As it turned out, at the time ATD made his brief return, he was still not cold enough about Soldat and stuff. So he vanished again, to continue his quest for a Soldat katharsis. The clan, therefore, was doomed to rot away beyond the point of revival.

[edit] Server

From the 13th March 2006 to 13th September 2006 there was an infamously laggy clanserver hosted by a Polish company - or at least it was laggy for some players. Nevertheless, this was a place to meet various realistic players - except for Eye-of-Terror, who refused to join the server for religious and aesthetic reasons. Some have criticised ATD's preferrence of a Polish host to, e.g., Selfkill. It is unclear whether ATD prefers a Polish host out of nationalistic reasons or pragmatical reasons (i.e. he's too lazy to manage an international bank transfer). An additional feature of the server were the often changing passwords, easily irritable admin (ATD) and very bizzare clanwars passwords (such as hecatombe, nosferatu, massacre and cock, a contribution by Demonic). The server returned on the 13th October to haunt the poor members of the realistic community, albeit it had its good days during which even players from outside of Poland had decent pings.

[edit] Trivia

  • At one point in time, there seemed to be an abnormal number of people whose nicks began with the letter 'B' in this clan. Currently, the trend almost ceased altogether.
  • The clan's forum recently featured kinky match reports, complete with edited screenshots and dialogue clouds pasted in.
  • Additionally, the members don't just leave the clan. They disappear, and only later does it turn out that they 'left the clan'. Usually, A Thousand Deaths is the last one to learn that someone left the clan. He also refuses to talk with ex-members about their leaving the clan after they leave the clan. He would prefer to talk with them about it before they do it. Ichiro may have been the first one to talk about his resignation, even though he lied about the causes, claiming inactivity - only to go to WG.
  • The clan has a penchant for quarterfinals. It reached the quarterfinals in LRS Realistic Tournament (although thanks to a walkover by a non-active clan), in SRL 0 and 1.
  • The clan's secret strategy for winning SRL1, discussed with Demonic, was to play so many matches that even though they would lose most of them, they would still find themselves at the top of the scoreboard (because loses were awarded 1 point). It was most probably this stratagem that prompted the SRL admins to change the rules in SRL2, invalidating such secret strategy.
  • In early 2008, ATD doubled up as the PsyOps Department of the clan, putting out USB propaganda posters, slightly reminiscent in character of his earlier experiments with edited clanwar screenshots.
